  • The booth by the Roppongi hills ART+DESIGN STORE sold artist related goods and art books.
  • Noriko Miyamura’s GEISAI fan club booth, where people brought their collections to show others or to be sold.
  • The jurors hurriedly move around the exhibition, followed by photographers the whole time.
  • At Gluten’s booth, Marcel Dzama and Douglas Fogle seemed quite please with the ‘bread badges’.
  • Ami Tokito.
  • Ami Tokito, an idol famous for her eye glasses, performed “Marugoto Art Mamire! GEISAI Doki Doki Gig.” With the floor suddenly crowded with her fans, the hall shifted to an other-wordly mood. We were also quite impressed with the live ota-gei.
  • Girls Hip-Hop Unit HALCALI performed “Okaimono SHOW in GEISAI” live form TOKYO FM Geijutsu Dojo.
  • To celebrate the tenth edition of GEISAI, a series of special anniversary live talks called “A Star is Born” was held. Here we scout juror yukari-art. Inc’s CEO Yukari Mizuma and three artists she scouted: Yodokawa Technique, Kazuharu Ishikawa, and Taihei Shi.
  • Next at the “A Star is Born” booth, Tomio Koyama from Tomio Koyama Gallery and one of his artists, Toru Kuwakubo, also held a live talk.
  • This year, Yamanaka Camera was the host at the sub stage. In the gaps between programming, he did a performance piece called Camera Sushi which had the audience bursting into laughter. Well done!!
  • To commemorate their booth at Volta, Basel, several GEISAI artists participated in “Art Basel Sanka Kinen Mini Geisai Hokoku Kouzakai”. Pictured here is Ayako Rokkaku.
  • Yamaguchi Souichiro participated at VOLTA as well.
