GEISAI#9 Photo Report

  • GEISAI#9 was held on March 12, 2006 at Tokyo Big Sight’s West Hall 4. The event marked the fifth year of GEISAI. Soon the empty hall pictured here will be filled with art.
  • As always, a purification ceremony was held to ensure the event’s success.

  • At nine o’clock, the opening ceremony was held and GEISAI#9 officially began.
  • The exhibition hall gradually begins heating up with energy.
  • Winner of the gold prize at the last GEISAI, 284, exhibited a Hakoniawa (a Japanese style diorama which extends underground.
  • Aya Takano held a live painting performance. The same painting is being exhibited now in her show at Parco Museum!.
